Addington OSCAR is looking for a Co-ordinator who is passionate about children to run our local After School and Holiday Programme.
This position is one of responsibility so therefore request applications from people who are able to prove they can self-manage and work in a team of 3. The ideal applicant will have experience working with children and appropriate leadership skills. The applicant must be over 17 years of age.

This is a 35-hour p/w position that includes 15 hours administration during term time, which also includes funding applications to MSD, planning the activities for the After School & Holiday Programmes. The remaining 20 hours are working with the team to work with the children. So it is the practical part of this position.

Starting rate is from $20 – $21.75 for the right applicant.

Please note this position continues throughout the year and applicants need to commit to both the After School and the Holiday programmes.
Monday –Friday 2pm-6pm plus the 15 hours admin.
Holiday Programme – Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm

The applicant will be required to start with the Holiday Programme on the 21st January 2019.
Employment will be subject to an acceptable police check and 90 day trial period
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all the children within our care, and as such recruitment and employment will be as per Vulnerable Children’s Act guidelines
and applicants will be subject to NZ Police Vetting.
A current first aid certificate would be an advantage, however full training will be given.

Full driver’s licence preferred
Required Qualities:
• Previous childcare experience
• Leadership skills
• Active and enthusiastic
• A good team member with a sense of humour
• Passionate about working with children of various needs and abilities
• Confident and uses own initiative
• Must be able to legally work in New Zealand and be available for an interview

First Aid certificate and/or Child Protection Certificate is an advantage but not compulsory
Internal and external training and a full induction process is provided
